Print Failures
When a print fails, as they do from time to time, you will be informed if there will be any significant delay. Otherwise, you will not be charged for the extra time and material.
Quotes Versus the Price You Pay
Getting a quote is free! The price you get on the quote is what you will pay unless you make changes before shipping. The only part of the pricing that may fluctuate normally is the shipping as it is difficult to calculate the shipping cost before taking the model(s) to the post office. Also, if the job takes less labor time than predicted, then you may get to pay less than the quote.
How to Get the Cheapest Price Possible
The main factor in the price of any print is labor. Any way you can decrease labor time will reduce the cost. For preparation, if your desired model is well designed for 3D printing, then setting up the file for the printer is quick. Opting for single color prints reduces color swapping time. For Post-processing choosing to leave the support material attached will save 10s of dollars as picking off all the little recalcitrant bits takes time.
Lastly, ordering more than one of the same model will be almost free if they can all fit on the printer at once. Even if they do not, each subsequent print of the same object will take less time as the printer will be ready from the last run.
